General Summary:
Production/Manufacturing Engineer is involve in daily manufacturing processes, improvement and implementation of the la**** manufacturing process, support MRP system, involve in new product development manufacturing processes.
Principal Responsibilities:
General :
1)To liaise with the product engineering department on providing manufacturing information to support product design and improvement.
2)To develop all the production routing process, product cost standard hour and configurator setup in support of JDE implementation.
3)Perform time study, process cycle time, line balancing, process improvement to reduce manufacturing overhead.
4)To establish process documentation and work instruction in support of process change and improvement.
5)To ensure that the requirements in ISO management system are being complied.
6)Participate in Lean/Kaizen manufacturing activities
7)Implementation of continue improvement processes in manufacturing environment
8)To lead on shop floor on MRP system implementation.
9)To investigate and report issues on production line for continue improvement.
10)Work together with production, QA, Engineering and others department to improve product quality and cost containment project.
11)Able to complete a task with minor guides and good interpersonal skill.
12)To ensure the production work flow and completion according to committed schedule and timeline.
13) Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate supervisor / HOD, any other duties assigned by the Management.
14) The Company may at any time, deemed necessary, add or amend any of these job responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheet applications and word processing software.
Effective organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment and carry out responsibilities with a minimum of direction.
Proficiency in process improvement and problem solving tools and techniques.
Demonstrate project management skills and facilitation skills.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Good experience and implementation of Value Stream Mapping, Kanban Pull system.
Autocad or other similar software, knowledge and good skill of 3D Solidworks will be added advantage
Minimum of 4 to 5 years working experience in related field
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other applicable field.
Experience with manufacturing of HVAC products is an advantage.
Experience with design, management and auditing of quality systems, including ISO 9000 is an advantage
